Seresto works by releasing a sustained, active, low dose of protection that will be effective for 7-8months. It has been highly  tested and is safe enough to use on kittens and cats from 10 weeks old.

It is odour free, water resistant and non greasy to handle.  The Seresto cat collar is size adjustable, so will fit any size of domestic cat .  It also has a safety mechanism to allow instant release should your cat unfortunately get the collar caught.

    According to the manufacturer - Bayer - the collar is non-toxic but it can cause an upset stomach if it were to be licked.

    Will this collar break away if I cat gets it tangled in something like a fence or bush?

    Answer:

    Yes, the collar will break away. Seresto has a double safety-release mechanism, so in the unlikely event of your cat being trapped, the collar will widen when she gives a hard pull, allowing for a quick release. The collar is also built with a predetermined breaking point, so a harder pull from your cat will break it.

    Best flea product ever!!

    Best Product For Our Household

    Our fleas and ticks became immune to the stand-by drops and I found Seresto. It's a product that absolutely works, and for eight months! We have six cats and flea and tick control gets expensive. It was worth it but it had to be planned for in advance. Now I've found Pet Bucket and save $20-$40 for each collar and no ticks or fleas, no trying to catch six cats once a month, trying to remember to do it, it's a win/win.

    I bought this from petbucket.com because the price is very good as compared to buying it locally. I have used one of these collars before that I bought locally and really did keep the cat flea free. This one from petbucket.com came from the United Kingdom. It did not include the reflectors that can be snapped onto the collar, and it does not have the loop on the collar to put the excess end of the collar into, therefore leaving a few inches of the end of the collar unsecure. Hopefully it stays in place.
